  • Member Engagement Opportunities

    Working Groups: Collaborate with other ODA members and Community Advisors in working groups to tackle issues of inequity in the outdoor industry. Each working group is a 6–9 month commitment, 4-6 hours per month. 

    Virtual Meetings: Connect with industry peers facing similar challenges and build relationships with Community Advisors by discussing sticky topics virtually, once per month. (90 minutes each) 

    In Person Events: Attend in-person gatherings to build relationships and guide ODA’s work. (One full day per event)

    Non-Monetary Support:  Connect business resources to match ODA’s needs to accelerate our work, such as: graphic design, website, subject experts, hosting regional and virtual events, PR, communications, introducing ODA to foundations and grant opportunities etc. 

    Tap into ODA Expertise: Lean on the ODA network to get feedback, inform DEi strategies at your company, connect with experts, and find consultants. 

    Serve on ODA Advisory Board:  Minimum one year commitment, 2-6 hours per month.

    Progress Over Perfection:  We expect members to accept that discomfort is part of the journey. 

    Continue Internal DEI Work: Internal work is critical; ODA membership and programming is complementary to your existing efforts. 

    Participate in Surveys and Reporting:  Our programs and strategic plan are dependent on input from our member companies. 

    Include Colleagues:  Virtual and in-person events are open to all member company employees.  

    Participate: Attend minimum of one in-person event

    Connect with Community Advisors:  Be available to connect with Community Advisors 1:1 who are interested in getting to know your company. 

    Share ODA’s “Business Case for Action on Equity” with Leadership:  Build awareness about the benefits of investing in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive industry. 

    Financial Commitment:  Members pay dues annually based on revenue. 

  • Financial Commitment

    ODA members pay annual membership dues. Dues are calculated based on revenue, as follows: 

    Nonprofits and businesses under $1,000,000  = $1,000 

    $1,000,000-$5,000,000 = $2,500

    $5,000,000 - $10,000,000 = $5,000

    $10,000,000-$25,000,000 = $7,500

    More than $25,000,000 = $10,000 

    Catalyst Member = $25,000+
