ABOUT THE PLAN

Following our inaugural ODA gathering in May 2024, we established a committee to develop a strategic plan to guide ODA’s decisions for the next three years. Our new 2025-2027 Strategic Plan includes input from ODA Community Advisors, member companies, and advisory board members. The target audiences for this plan are the people we serve — communities that are underrepresented in the outdoor industry and outdoor companies.

Our strategy, key results, and initiatives are centered around three objectives:

AUTHENTICITY

Listen to and pay underrepresented communities and outside experts to guide our work, and help outdoor brands understand how to be authentically relevant with underrepresented communities and new audiences. 

COLLABORATION

Be a force multiplier by helping companies do what they can’t accomplish on their own through connection and resource sharing in safe spaces.

GROWTH

Focus on building a prosperous industry through purposeful growth,  transparency, and accountability.
